Looking to wellness leaders is how we get ideas for some of our most positive life hacks. Today, we introduce Wellness Momenta slice-of-life peek into the methods and mechanics of some of our fave mind/body masters. Up first is Larissa May, mental health advocate and founder of Half The Story, a nonprofit which explores the link between social media and mental health. How does May keep her head straight? By skipping screens at a surprising time of the day, for starters.

Here are some other self-care approaches May implements to keep herself balanced and optimistic. 

  • All of the notifications on my phone are turned off.
  • I go to bed at 9:30-10:00 p.m. I prioritize sleep above everything. It's the key to a happy mind, body, and spirit.
  • Gut health and brain health are one and the same. Each day I take Seed, my favorite probiotic.
