We've Found The World's Most Mouth-Watering Smoothie

Posted by Bikini Owner

With its pop of purple, this blueberry lavender smoothie will keep you feeling refreshed and energized as the days get darker. Top with another burst of color by adding bee pollen (available at most local health food stores), which has some surprising yet amazing health benefits.

Feel free to get creative with your version of this slurpable smoothie. Opt to pack it with protein and fiber by way of both chia and flaxseed in addition to a quality, vegan protein powder. If you're looking to save a few calories, chilled green tea is a great calorie-free substitute for allergy friendly milk.

A word to the wise: though lavender is what makes this smoothie special, beware of chocking your smoothie with too muchjust a teaspoon or two will do! Otherwise, you'll end up with a slightly soapy taste.

Blueberry Lavender Smoothie

Prep time: 5 minutes  |  Total time: 5 minutes  |  Servings: 1 smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen wild blueberries
  • 1 cup chilled green tea or allergy friendly milk of choice
  • 1 scoop allergy friendly protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon edible lavender + extra for topping
  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen + extra for topping [optional]

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender* or food processor.

  2. Pulse until smooth.

  3. Pour into a chilled glass.

  4. Garnish with additional lavender, bee pollen, and a festive straw.

*If you're blender isn't one of those fancy-schmancy high powered ones, the order in which you add your ingredients becomes important.  Add liquids first, then powdered ingredients like the protein powder, lavender, and bee pollens.  Next add your chia and flaxseed and finish by topping with the frozen blueberries.
