Q: Can you share any specific exercises to help get my stomach flat again?

A: There are far too many “expert” answers to this question that usually read something like: “Try these 4 fun exercises for perfect abs (Yay!).” I won’t start ours that way, because hey, it’s Christmas time and if you can understand and apply these points, this will be the best gift for your body yet. 
Let’s take a few steps back and state the fact that you already have your dream mid-section. Your abs are beautifully shaped and look exactly as you’ve seen them in your dreams. Yes, they exist, but typically they’re hiding behind a few extra percentage points of body fat. The single most important piece of the stomach flattening puzzle is nutrition. For the purpose of this article I’m going to assume you’re keeping water going all day, placing protein as your focus at each meal and eating your greens at any given chance.
