Hot Workout: Mile High Run Club

Posted by Bikini Owner

Some of us run to escape. Others can't seem to hit the trails unless they're part of a pack, using the high-octane energy of the group as motivation to keep going. Mile High Run Club's Debora Warner is a certified Road Runners Club of America coach, and has personally trained hundreds of runners—with New York's Mile High Run Club, she brings her enthusiasm for running to a group training environment, packing the studio with runners of all levels and goals.

Running as a group on treadmills in a room might seem like your standard gym environment, but these classes are far more comprehensive than a quick jog on level 5. Blending running intervals with strength and endurance training, classes like Dash 28 motivate runners new to the treadmill to build a foundation, whether they're training for a big race or just looking to get in shape. Working on long distances? Than a 60-minute The Distance class, led by elite runners, will help you improve conditioning and work on your timing with intervals, sprints, and hills.

The personal attention and skill level of Mile High's coaches are the key difference between training here and setting yourself up on a treadmill at Crunch. With focused attention and their knowledge, coaches can help you perfect your stride, work on your endurance and help you meet whatever your personal goals are, whether it's to run for two miles without a break or shave down your 10k time. The darkened room and upbeat music help you stay in the zone while you run, and the nice amenities in the flex room and locker rooms make cooling down a relaxing experience. If you were born to run, this is the gym for you.
