Though she is as fit and slim as anyone can dream of, beautiful blonde Misty Rice actually has a hearty appetite for food and for life. She is a successful model who has worked with everyone from ESPN TV Network to Miller Lite Beer and has even hosted her own high definition travel show. Luckily, the athletic nature of this Texas Rose compensates for her love of good old southern food.

Tell us a little bit about growing up in Texas.

Growing up in Texas is not all boots and spurs. I grew up in a small town just like any other city with nice people who always say, “Hi” and the guys always open the doors for you.

Did you grow up with horses and cows?

I actually did. I learned how to break in horses. We used to take them to the flea markets for kids to ride. I’m a city girl from the cowgirl state

Tell us a little bit about what Texas girls are like.

Texas girls are very pretty, nice, friendly, and smart. When you think of Texas girls, make sure you think about me. (Smiles)

Tell us about yourself. How would your friends describe you?

My friends would describe me as being very outgoing. I’m a fun girl who’s usually the life of the party.

Tell us about your diet and what kinds of food you like.

People always ask if I have a strict diet… but I don’t. I’m from the South and I love my carbs! My favorite is Chick-fil-a - #1 with no pickles, fries, and a root beer. I’m a cheap date. (Laughs)

Tell us what you think is sexy in a guy.

I’m very picky when it comes to my choices in men. I look for many things in a guy; physical attraction is the number one thing, hopefully they have a good personality and very athletic. I want a man! (Flexes)

Are you athletic yourself?

I consider myself very athletic. I’m a sports girl who loves any sports that you can be active in, watch, and be social with. The guy that’s going to date me has to be into the same thing.

Be more specific. What kind of sports do you enjoy?

I love watching and playing football and hockey, they’re both very active and I’m very knowledgeable about them. I grew up being a cheerleader and my brother was a football player.

What was it like growing up as a cheerleader?

I loved it! At my high school in Texas it was the “cool thing” to do. It was a great way to stay active, building pyramids and doing jumps were great exercises. I got to travel and cheer on my team at all the games.

How would you describe yourself on a personal level?

I’m a very honest, sincere, true and loyal person. I got my first tattoo on my back about two years ago to prove that. I designed it myself, it’s a Chinese symbol with butterfly wings around it that tells people I’m true, strong, loyal and sincere.

What about on a physical level?

I’m 5’7, very slim and petite. People say I have crystal blue eyes, but my favorite aspect about myself would have to be my lips.

You seem like a very fun person. What do you like to do for fun?

For me the perfect fun day would be on the beach playing volleyball. Going out on a boat and water skiing, anything on the water with some sun, friends, and some Jimmy Buffet music playing in the background.

What is it about the beach that you love so much?

I’m very spoiled from the hot Texas weather. The hot weather makes it easy to get out and be active with sport events, maybe even have a beer and some laughs with friends.

As a model you’ve must of had the opportunity to travel. What interesting places have you gone to?

I currently host a travel show called Get Out, it’s shot in high-definition – it’s like the new Wild On E! We do more extreme sports; it’s my kind of show. I’ve traveled everywhere from Brazil to Spain, to all the states, you name it we’ve pretty much done it on the show. I can definitely say that I’m very blessed with all my traveling.

What’s your favorite time of day?

I would have to say mid-day around 2-3pm, when it’s the warmest. It seems like that’s when people get out the most and it’s around lunch, my favorite meal of the day. That’s when I hit my highest energy point.

Do you have any advice or philosophy for people on how to approach life?

I believe strongly that everyone should live life to the fullest, take every day as it comes, and just live with an honest and happy heart.
