| Tell us a little about what it’s like to grow up in Hawaii.
Well, what it’s like to grow up in Hawaii is, it’s absolutely a beautiful and tropical location. So many different plants and animals there! It’s very small though, so you have to branch out and move around out there.
Are you Hawaiian?
I am not Hawaiian -- I’m actually Filipino and British, but everyone think I’m Hawaiian because I’m from Hawaii. But I’m actually Asian and European.
Though you’re not ethnically Hawaiian, you probably picked up some of the Hawaiian culture growing up there. What is the classic “Hawaiian wahine” like?
The classic Hawaiian, I would say, loves to eat and enjoy life, loves the culture, the music and the environment there. Absolutely loves the beach and surfing and all of those things that are surrounded in the islands.
You said you’re part Filipino, so you must have some influence from the Filipino culture from your household too -- what is that like?
I am half Filipino and I absolutely love that part of my heritage. They are very outgoing and family oriented and they cook amazing. I just really love that aspect of my culture. It’s a mix of Chinese and Spanish bloodlines.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as outgoing, extraverted, driven; I really care about my friends. Probably just fun loving and hard working.
What are the kinds of things you love to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to hit the beach, I love hanging out in Miami, going to different clubs and restaurants and experiencing the culture here.
Have you gotten to travel a lot as part of your modeling?
As part of my modeling, the most favorite part that I got to experience was probably the travel. I went to Hong Kong last year and worked. I worked in China, the Philippines, Costa Rica, all over Canada and all over the United States touring with different companies, so that’s been the most amazing part of it.
What’s it like to be a swimsuit model and getting paid to wear your bikini?
What it’s like to be a swimsuit model and getting paid to wear your bikini: every day you are usually in a beautiful tropical environment. It’s exciting. It’s a lot of fun; you’re always running around in cute little swimwear, so it keeps your luggage light. It’s a lot of fun and you’re usually on the beach a lot, so I cant complain about that.
I’m sure a beautiful girl like you gets hit on by a lot of guys. What are the kinds of pickup lines that you’ve heard from guys?
Oh boy. As a model, sometimes you get hit on once in awhile, and…pickup lines that I’ve heard? I’ve heard it all. I can’t even think of a particular one because there’s always something new and interesting, you know, like walking down the road and all these random guys, but…I don’t know…I can’t think of a particular one right now. I’ll think about it some more.
What is sexy to you in a guy?
What’s really sexy to me in a guy would be confidence first. Number one. Just really having a confidence in themselves and knowing who they are.
How would you describe yourself physically to someone who’s never seen you before?
I would describe myself physically as tan and athletic, kind of island-y looking I guess you could say. I’m also 5’ 8”. I am a 34-25-36. I have golden, caramel kind of hair.
What do you consider your best feature?
My best feature, I would think are my legs, because I played volleyball for seven years, so they are kind of athletic. I used to run a lot back in the day.
What do you like to do now in your spare time when you’re not modeling?
Now in my spare time when I’m not traveling, I love to travel. I love to go to different destinations and explore. I love to go to the Bahamas, because it’s right next door. I love to go to the gym too. I love to have a good workout and challenge myself.
Everybody loves the bikini -- what to you makes the bikini so special?
What makes the bikini so special is that it’s pretty much the only thing that is so little you can get away with wearing at a lot of different places. There are so many different styles. It’s very unique…the designs, one piece, two-piece. They’re the only thing you can get away with in Florida. It’s hot, so you get to run around in them all day.
You must love the beach, because you grew up in Hawaii and now you live in Florida. What is it about the beach that you love?
What it is about the beach that I love…I love the ambience, with the waves and the crashing waves and the sunset. I love children’s laughter when they’re running around and just getting some sun. A little Vitamin D is good for everybody.
What kind of music do you like to listen to?
I enjoy all types of music. I really like dance and hip-hop and rock; pretty much a plethora of everything.
