I love to model obviously, I’m Miss Hawaiian Tropic International. I’m a little cowgirl; I’ve been riding horses since I was nine. I’ve also been dancing since I was four; I do tap, jazz, and ballet. Dancing is a passion of mine.

Tell us about being Miss Hawaiian Tropic International...

As Miss Hawaiian Tropic International, I travel the world promoting our sun care line. We’ve been to France, the Dominican Republic, all over the United States and we have such a blast, the girls are wonderful and it’s a great company to work for.

What makes you happy?

Being around my family and friends, hanging out at the lake on the weekends, just being with them, they’re the people in my life who love me the most. What more could you ask for?

What do you think about when you’re posing in front of the camera?

I mainly think about my body and what it’s looking like. To get into the mood, you have to think sexy or funny thoughts. Whatever image you’re trying to portray, you try and think of something that will portray that kind of image or thought.

Tell us more about you. What is the real Kristen like?

Very quiet and shy, not very outgoing. I really love to just hang out at home cooking, cleaning and watching movies in my pajamas. I’m really a homebody, so I just love being at home.

What is sexy to you?

Sexy to me is confidence, any girl that is confident and knows what she wants and goes after it no matter what people say. There’s always naysayers, people who are going to put you down, so just going through life with a good head on your shoulders, being really confident and going after your goals is the sexiest thing in a women.

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to be at home a lot, watch movies and spend time at the lake. I’m just your typical American girl.

What is it about dancing that you like?

Dancing to me is a passion, it’s an art form that lets me be creative and show who I am, it’s great exercise and so much fun. Doing something for so long, that you love so much is really a blessing and I’ve had so much fun with dancing, your creative aspect comes out whenever you choreograph. You’d be surprised, doing salsa lessons or getting a dancing partner is great way to meet people.

Why is the world fascinated with bikinis?

Purely for the skin, you show all your skin and you’re out there free.

What kind of music do you like?

I love all kinds of music from classical to rap, anything but heavy metal.

What are some of your goals in life?

I really want to finish college, I’m not attending right now because I’m Miss Hawaiian Tropic International. I’d like to go back and get my degree in Psychology with a minor in business. I’d also like to live the American dream- having a great family with kids and a husband.

What kind of fun things have you been a part of through your modeling?

Through my modeling I’ve been able to meet a lot of famous people such as Alec Baldwin and Robert F. Kennedy. We’ve been to the Cannes Film Festival, the Lemans Races, and we’ve done a lot of charity events. It’s been a really great experience.

Tell us about where you’re from and what the women are like there.

I’m from Austin, Texas where women all have that southern hospitality. A lot of us are country girls at heart, growing up with strong family values and morals are very important to us.

What’s so cool about Texas?

Austin is the live music capital of the world, it’s really laid back and fun. You go out and listen to music on 6th street and Texas is beautiful.
