When we first met Carolina, we were struck by her stunning combination of black hair and light blue eyes. This 5’7” 119 pound hottie loves to play tennis as often as she can. Having grown up on the coast of Colombia, she loves the sand, sun and especially the beach. You can catch her building sand castles or swimming in the ocean on a nice day. Hint for aspiring boyfriends: she is crazy for the color pink.

Tell us a little about Colombia.

Colombia is a really nice place; it’s divided into three areas that have different climates, weather and people. We have one side where it’s a little bit cooler and it’s very European. In the North Coast, people are very happy and love to party because it’s warmer. The weather on the other side is in the middle; it’s where all the hard working people and industries are, they support the economy for all the other people who like to party. (Laughs)

Tell us about the differences or similarities between Colombia and Miami.

Here in Miami I feel like I’m at home, nobody really speaks English, I don’t know if you noticed. (Laughs) It’s home to me; it’s warm, there are beaches, and people are super nice. There are lots of places with Salsa and Meringue. You can get any type of food you want, so I don’t miss anything related to food. The only things that I miss are my friends, but they come and visit once in awhile, it’s only a three-hour flight from here to home.

You have a different sort of an accent. Have you lived anywhere else?

I lived in England for a year, I liked it a lot but the weather was a little hard on me.

Tell us about some of the things you liked in England.

I lived in two towns that were about an hour away from London. I loved it there, people were amazing and I made great friends. What I liked most was the fashion world there. I loved the castles and the music.

What type of fashion do you like?

I like trendy fashion, people who are not afraid to wear something they like, whether it matches or not. I love piercings and colorful hair on other people, but not on me because I’m a big chicken. I cry every time I donate blood, I’m terrified of needles.

Tell us about some of your hobbies and what you like to do.

I really like learning new things such as different languages. I was taking Italian classes and loved it. When I have extra time in the summer, I wake up early and play tennis. I like to go the gym and run. I had a running phase where I ran a marathon, it was very hard on my knees and lower back, but now I can say I’ve done it. I love dancing, once in awhile I go to a club. Oh and I love the beach!

Tell us about the beaches in Colombia.

We have the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean, so it’s very different from one coast to the other. The more touristy of the two is the Atlantic, it’s very much like Puerto Rico with castles from colonial times, and it’s gorgeous. The other part consist more of fishermen and people relaxing in hammocks.

What’s your favorite kind of music?

I don’t have a favorite kind of music; I like pretty much everything. I go through phases; right now I like Jazz a lot because I think it’s sexy.

What about movies? What kind is your favorite?

I like action and comedy, but it has to be elaborate and not too silly. I get very excited when I watch a movie and believe everything that is happening, so when I see suspense or terror I get petrified.

What kind of foods do you like?

I like healthy foods; I go through phases with food too. There was a time that I loved seafood and sushi, now I can’t stand it. I hate spicy food! I’m more on the sweet side. I like chicken and salads when it’s simple, fresh, with a really good sauce and a glass of wine. Perfect.

What type of people do you like?

When it comes to people I say, “Live and let live.” Do whatever you want to do, just let me live also. I like open minded people, who aren’t very strict and don’t criticize my decisions. I’m very independent and I don’t like people controlling me, that’s the worst. I like to be around people who don’t criticize and always have a positive attitude about things. Negativity? Sorry, not interested.

What about guys?

I like the romantic, gentle, old-fashion type. The guy who opens doors, has candlelight dinners, flowers and chocolates for you.

How would you describe yourself?

Believe it or not, but I think I’m very smart. People think that models are airheads, but I read that Cindy Crawford had a very high I.Q. I consider myself to have a big heart; I’m very compassionate and always try to understand where people are coming from without judging them. I love to have a good time and travel.

Where are some of the places you like traveling to?

Getting the chance to go to different places is one of the things I like about being a model. I’ve been to very exotic places and had a lot of fun.
